Why this blog

I have often felt there are many resources--books, newspaper articles, television discussions, films--that can help teachers and parents bring the wider world to children and students. Resources that are varied and scattered, which when brought together and used creatively can make 'education' relevant, fun and interactive. This blog will attempt to document such resources and suggest ways of using these. It will hopefully enthuse other teachers, parents and educationists to share their ideas and information on how to connect the classroom with society and people out there, outside the school campus.
